I felt a bit odd and a bit guilty about it at the time, but really it made the most sense for me, for the folks I'm currently working with, and possibly for the folks who made the offer.

This is the same job with my old company that I was talking about in this diary, but after the second round of interviews I got a somewhat different view of it than I'd had before. It's a development job, but it's on the implementation side not involved with the development of the underlying software being deployed. Since I haven't been impressed with what I've seen and heard about that underlying software and the team developing it, I suspect the frustration factor would've been high.

I'd have been making more money and there may be times over the slow-for-consulting holiday season coming up that I'm going to regret not having that $$$, but I don't think I'll miss the stress and frustration.
