Intro text dedicated to the memory of Phil's wife. Unrelated content below.

I had rather a fit of paranoia last night and I apologize. I'm not strong or in my right mind of late. In any case, it was suggested to me that I talk more about my personal life.

Well, the dog shit his cage for the 4th night in a row even though he gets walked several times at night the lastest being about half past ten. He squirts diarrhea about 5am. Vet found nothing wrong.

My Chief of Security (heh heh) is a 400 lb. Stargate fan.

I'm taking care of a new website. it's about immigrants and has the worst flash intro ever. It will change.

My relationship sucks. His lack of dog care and his anger when woken at night - confusion, too - is harsh on my ears.

I'm angry, defensive and short-tempered due to a cmobination of work and home stress. My most sincere apologies to individuals I have offended here.

Immigrant site by theboz (3.00 / 0) #1 Tue Nov 23, 2004 at 11:40:15 PM EST
My wife would probably be willing to help you if you need it. Other than being my wife, she's an IT person who graduated at the top of her class.

Try a different vet? by nebbish (3.00 / 0) #2 Tue Nov 23, 2004 at 11:52:16 PM EST
We had a cat that used to shit everywhere and our vet told us he couldn't find anything wrong (even suggested having it put down!), took it to another vet and a few pills later it was sorted.

Some dogs... by ana (6.00 / 1) #5 Wed Nov 24, 2004 at 02:00:31 AM EST
seem to like sleeping in a confined space. It makes it clear that they're not responsible for the security of the house. We put ours in the (small) bathroom overnight, and aside from a bit of whining a couple times a week, she seems much happer than when she had the run of the house at night (and was up and down barking at imagined wolves or whatever). And we're a bit less likely to want to murder her in the night.

Crate-Training by CheeseburgerBrown (6.00 / 2) #6 Wed Nov 24, 2004 at 02:21:09 AM EST
It's not unusual (or cruel) when done properly.

All of our dogs live in cages until they're about a year old.

For obvious reasons by CrocoStimpy (3.00 / 0) #8 Wed Nov 24, 2004 at 02:56:46 AM EST
I'd suggest hiding or even deleting this comment.

Unless there's a desire for another crapflooding invasion.

it's not obvious to me. by garlic (3.00 / 0) #11 Wed Nov 24, 2004 at 05:30:34 AM EST
Are you saying that I am a crapflooder, or that "streetlawyer, check your email" is a call to arms for crap-flooders?

If it is the second, I was unaware of it. Our editors are pretty on the ball, and some of them even have itchy trigger fingers, so I'm not to worried about any call to arms being squelched in the bud.

If it is the first, I don't think our definitions of crap-flooders are the same. I'd be willing to take the argument that what I post is crap, but it certainly isn't a flood...

It's not that big a secret by CrocoStimpy (3.00 / 0) #18 Wed Nov 24, 2004 at 10:09:53 AM EST
However, putting certain key phrases together on one page might act as bait for some nasty, harassing characters who follow the author of this diary from site to site.  One key phrase is the title of your toplevel comment.

I guess that's good enough

Eastern philosophy by ucblockhead (6.00 / 2) #9 Wed Nov 24, 2004 at 03:28:15 AM EST
Seriously. Western culture trains us to get upset about damn near everything. One the things I've found is that once you learn not to take things as seriously, you just end up generally less upset.

No one was offended on this end.

Right now, he's on Bil*Jac. I don't like it. I'll probably go back to either Wellness or Wysong. I've also used Canidae which is very good.

Sorry I wasn't around yesterday by FlightTest (3.00 / 0) #20 Wed Nov 24, 2004 at 10:39:10 AM EST

I ran out to get batteries for the laptop, then while enroute got called for a job. The rest of the afternoon was spent filling out paperwork and getting a physical and drug test.

Be good to yourself.
