Diary

The malign influence of Mercury suggests that your day will be spoiled by rogue USian network technicians. Your plan to go to B&Q at lunchtime instead of the pub will be a partial success. While running around like a headless chicken, your manager will nag about some irrelevant piece of crap while you're trying to fix a real problem.

If it happens again, I am paging the fucker. I don't care what time it is in Illinois. Ever thought that port might be open for a reason? Wanker.

Ah, the weekend at last. Plus a couple of days off. Four days of solid DIY with a short break for wakeboarding. No pubbing and actually achieving results.

WIPO: There should be special rules for them by Rogerborg (6.00 / 2) #5 Thu Oct 21, 2004 at 10:37:48 PM EST
No, not the Royals, they have enough special rules.  The press.  Or anyone with a camera in general.  Taking a picture of someone should be considered an attempt to steal their soul, and an Any Force defence should be available.  No, there's no get out clause for the BBC.  Fuckers.

I'm surprised they're still in business. Methinks a couple of geeks with a talent for hacking CCTV cameras could make a fortune in the tabloid market, making the papparazzi an extinct species virtually overnight, just like happened to the RIAA. Er.

Geeks and tabloid editors don't mix.  It's like sheep and sharks.  No common ground.

is it lunchtime yet? Something hot sounds nice.

Well, by ambrosen (3.00 / 0) #14 Thu Oct 21, 2004 at 11:09:27 PM EST
that'd require a huge improvement in CCTV cameras' resolution, so I guess it'd be tricky.

Just take the low-res images and then Zoom'n'EnhanceTM the area you want to achieve photo quality.

I dunno by martingale (3.00 / 0) #8 Thu Oct 21, 2004 at 10:51:01 PM EST
Ever thought how awkward it would be to visit the meat markets? I mean whadda you say to that slightly plump, slightly drunk and oh so plain looking girl in the dark corner an hour before closing time, when your vision's 50/50 and you're getting semi desperate, semi dizzy, among the smell of vomit and piss next to the bathroom? Hail to the King, baby?

And then there's the horror in the morning, should you *not* strike out...

Nah. by Breaker (3.00 / 0) #12 Thu Oct 21, 2004 at 11:05:30 PM EST
I mean come on, even if either of them looked like the arse end of a bus, there's no better chat up line like:
"So, want to come over to my palace, baby?"

The real risk is bastard offspring.  The tabloids would wet themselves.

It would not surprise me if the bodyguards carry morning after pills, and administer them the next day...

Still the danger of tabloid involvement by TPD (3.00 / 0) #18 Fri Oct 22, 2004 at 12:12:04 AM EST
When the boy's done the body guards drag the girl away.... Then it's one quick slash and dump the body in the Thames!

The police no well enough not to investigate!

the funny thing was on Shite Morning TV, the general consensus seemed to be to blame the body guards!

Pretty much on the money so far. I got the flooring but fitting wedges & trim, they were a bit short on.

I am also having trouble locating an appropriately sized fireback.
