Print Story Refund, here I come

not that I enjoy getting tax refunds.  I don't.  Why should the gub'ment get an interest-free loan from me?

One final thing to do and my taxes will be finished.  The refund will cover the unsettling balance on my credit card.  We seriously need a budget overhaul.

I have a meeting tomorrow morning with some of teh bf's clients.  He wants to push these people on to my plate because he doesn't enjoy the work.  It isn't even that much money.  For whatever reason, he still doesn't want me to go get a job.  I need to find out what the deal is with that, because I found a job today that I think I'd enjoy (creating storage solutions for people's garages, pantires, closets, etc).  Blech.

Mom was disgusted with our lack of art in the house, so she invested $30 in a print for the kitchen.  It looks really good.  She also bought me some silk flowers for an arrangement in the living room.  Again, it looks really good.  In fact, the new items look so good I had to clean out a bookshelf that was dragging the whole area down.  Small improvements make a big difference.

Spring is on the way.  I'll have to do some preliminary landscape work in the coming weeks.  I guess I'll have to plant seeds this year because they're so much cheaper.  The yard has to look good for the pre-wedding party we're having over here.

It's a nice day out.  Too bad I don't have a real reason to leave the house.  Maybe I'll read outside for a bit.

I need to find out what the deal is with that

He's Old-School and likes how you take care of the Domestic Front.
It's really that simple. We're simple creatures.

I enjoy tax-time, because I get far, far more money back from the gummint than I put in.
I am, how does one say... a burden to the taxpayers.

So, to all you USian taxpayers, thanks for the NEW TRUCK!

I don't care if people hate my guts; I assume most of them do.

Never under-estimate the value of last years Van Gogh calendar bought for 20c and in a good frame. I also bought those cheap coffee table books that are in barnes and noble for $5 on Van Gogh, Gaugin etc and cut out the pictures I liked and then put them in a $20 frame. Looks great.
