Isn't it about time the Japanese government released some results - and a justification of their methods - for the so called "scientific research" used to justify Whaling?

I think the Australian government are onto something in calling out the Japanese as liars.  Do the Japanese people realise that the world by-and-large sees the whole ICR justification as a huge obvious bare-faced lie?  How do they feel about the world thinking of them as a dishonest nation?

Do they sit at home sniggering into their Whale Soup, thinking "stupid Europeans, falling for our cunning trickery"?  Or are they largely ashamed at the behaviour of their government?

Although I am against whaling, I think I'm actually more outraged that a nation can turn around and lie about what it does and why it does it.

It's alike a toddler with chocolate all over his face saying he didn't take the chocolate, the bunny/kitty/fairy's did it.

I do realise that other governments/nations have crafted complex lies and deceit as part of their official policies, I just think it strange that this particular lie has been maintained for so long, and with so little effort.

If you say your doing scientific research, lets see the results.
