Tonight's beer is Lion Stout, a hearty brew from Sri Lanka. Good flavor, with a strong and pleasant aftertaste. I can't quite place the aftertaste, but it's not at all unpleasant. The Lion Stout is advertized as a great beer to drink with hot food and it lives up to it's billing. Desert Pepper's Habenero Salsa is enveloped by Lion Stout's thickness and rendered harmless. Also, its 8% Alcohol content doesn't hurt it at all. One bottle was all it took to get a light buzz going.

Petalpumpinggirls.com(NSFW&Mechanics) - Porn showing women who can't start their cars. Let me first say that I found this site when searching for the new Jeep Wrangler on GIS. I did not then, nor will I ever seek out Jeep porn. I did download a sample video just out of disbelief of the fact that someone created car trouble porn. My expectation was that it would start with a broken car and the driver would end up banging the tow truck driver out of gratitude. To my surprise, there is no nudity, just women trying to start their cars. Unbelievable.

I just don't understand the angle they're going for here. Am I supposed to be turned on by the helplessness of being stranded in a parking lot? Or are they supposed to be nasty girls who just don't care if they flood the engine? Maybe it's something that gets mechanics would find hot, I don't know.

Microsoft gets one right

Thanks Google. Not really sure what I'll do with a zoomable map of Mars, but hey, since it doesn't cost me anything I can't complain.

No wait, I can complain. How the hell can I zoom in on the Face of Mars, but Toledo isn't covered by Google Maps's satellite mapping? We're a metro area consisting of roughly half a million people and all that's covered is the North End. That's where the factories and poor people are located. I don't want to see that. No one does. Poor peoples' backyards are depressing.

On the other hand, Microsoft recently introduced a third view, the Bird's Eye view, giving users a close up aerial view of a select number of American cities. Toledo happens to be one of the few cities with full coverage in every direction. Compare Google's satellite coverage vs. Microsoft's aerial coverage of the Northtowne Small.

There are some downsides to Microsoft's mapping site, most notably the lack of support for Safari, it's massive memory footprint, and that it seems less responsive overall than Google Maps. But for me, the ability to tell from an aerial photo which neighborhoods are run down and which ones are nice is a killer feature.
