At least here in USia we've been willing to experiment a bit. Compare men's suits in the 50's vs 70's (shudder) vs 90's. Or t-shirts in the 60's vs 80's.

We need to do away with button-downs. They're not sensible. The suit is so much more plain than a proper coat. Ties are a cultural relic not good fashion sense.

More linen would be good, more silk. Less of this light crappy cotton that you can't properly press. I'd like a style of shirt without long sleeves that doesn't make me feel like a child. Something I can wear with shorts that isn't a polo. I miss proper ribbed shirts. Shoes that look good with shorts that aren't loafers would be nice. More options on the bottom half of things - skirts are quite comfortable, but to wear one outside the house would be very disarming.

Men's style choices so often seem to come down to what image is printed on the otherwise identical teeshirts.
