Caregivers by yankeehack (2.00 / 0) #2 Tue Dec 18, 2012 at 08:05:09 PM EST
When you are out there, can you see if there is a dependable person or paid caregiver type who can be his fallback if friends can't help?

Going to look into that. by wiredog (2.00 / 0) #5 Wed Dec 19, 2012 at 08:21:26 AM EST
Talk to the preacher at his church, see if he has any ideas.

Particularly if he's resistent to people (like medical professionals) helping him. My thoughts are with you - I know this must be weighing on you a lot.

It's not that he's resistant, so much. by wiredog (4.00 / 2) #6 Wed Dec 19, 2012 at 08:28:47 AM EST
Just that he doesn't want to be, and waits until he thinks he really needs the help. And since he generally has been in very good health, he doesn't realize when he needs help. At least when he's sick. Injuries he gets looked at right away.
