Bastard ran over my foot on his Segway.  Grr.

But in the end by georgeha (4.00 / 3) #2 Wed Oct 17, 2012 at 12:21:49 PM EST
he was on a Segway, it's hard to top that level of dorkiness.

The one regret of my recent trip to Munich by dmg (4.00 / 1) #10 Wed Oct 17, 2012 at 08:33:00 PM EST
Was that I was unaware they offered guided tours of the city on Segways. I was most pissed off as a convoy of about 20 segway-riding tourists nearly ran me over as I exited the Englischer Garten.

Not sure how it would have mixed with my Oktoberfest hangover, but it would have been fun to find out...

LO is a year younger than 16 year old, IIRC.

I'll be joining the club. Although by then, 16 becomes 18 and you get to kick them out of the house ;).

I didn't need a support group by lm (4.00 / 1) #9 Wed Oct 17, 2012 at 05:49:10 PM EST
My eldest turned 19 this past summer. My youngest will turn 16 next summer. I've never really felt the need for a support group.

But I'm an odd one. I figure they'll turn out fine once they figure out who they are and my job is mostly to help provide the tools they need to do that figuring.

I was on a tour of the Black Butte brewery in Bend once. Good stuff. And, just for grins, they have a PBR sign in their tasting room.

Do they have a brewpub? by georgeha (2.00 / 0) #7 Wed Oct 17, 2012 at 02:13:29 PM EST
I only had dinner twice in Bend, though.

Not so much, no. by ana (2.00 / 0) #8 Wed Oct 17, 2012 at 04:56:17 PM EST
They offered samples of various brews, and I think you could buy their wares there as well. No food that I recall.
