I don't know how I managed to get 666 words in the story, but it certainly doesn't bode well.

will be easy compared to the first house purchase.

Focus on the exciting.

Congratulations and good luck.

I know what you mean. by clock (4.00 / 1) #3 Wed Mar 24, 2010 at 06:50:48 AM EST
In a previous life I had all kinds of trouble with money due to a basic misunderstanding that one cannot spend more than one makes.  Dealing with banks and CC companies and utilities frazzled me and basically made me hate money and anything to do with it.  It's one of the big reasons that Stacky does all of the finances in our household.  A decade of firefighting will do that.

Remember that it's all just numbers.  Keep a spreadsheet mentality with it all and that might help.

Good luck!  Sounds like a great place!

My saint of a wife handles our finances too.

I am keeping my chin up, just trying to not get too wrapped up in the whole idea.  It really isn't the number so much as just dealing with those bastards that gets me.

I'm waiting on the mortgage company now. by wiredog (4.00 / 1) #4 Wed Mar 24, 2010 at 07:27:59 AM EST
The condo complex has to be VA/FHA approved, which mainly means the paperwork has to be straight on their part.

Good luck with it.  The FHA isn't the worst agency to deal with.  Got the current house on a FHA loan back in the day.
