The GPS and tiller pilot - two separate units on the boat - are collectively called "George". So the GPS does not have a name - in fact it's one of three different units at different times - but the tillerpilot by itself also does not have a name.

IIRC, George is the Default Name by wiredog (2.00 / 0) #5 Wed Aug 12, 2009 at 08:18:38 AM EST

Betty.  There may be a couple people that get it.

When I was teaching in grad school, I invited my whole class to join me and some friends at a football game.  My friends got caught in traffic and had to turn back, and only one student showed up.  She had been in the country from the Philippines for  less than a year.  So I spent the whole game teaching her the basics of football.  Fun times indeed.  Then she assumed it was a come on and tried to reciprocate, which ended in her walking out of my office in tears.  Ah, grad school.

There were the usual murmurs of developers wanting coffee. Some were headed to the machine in the kitchen, which others do not consider a legitimate source of coffee. Still others consider the journey as as much a reward as the caffeine.

"But look at the waves of heat out the window," someone pointed out. We're many, many floors up from ground level.

We looked.

"Oh no, the outdoors is melting!"

I'm actually making decent FC progress. I even think it might not suck, but it's always hard to tell.

Sounds like part of the next WFC, which I have no intention of writing.
