Girl Scout Season by ObviousTroll (2.00 / 0) #1 Fri Jun 05, 2009 at 01:17:51 PM EST
I've never worried about my 12 year old and camping and such, seeing how her mom is the troop leader - but this does tend to mean Troll Jr and I end up spending a lot of "male bonding" weekends together...

Heh - he's taking his SATs tomorrow, and we're signing him up for driving classes...

I better go buy some Geritol.

My Dad arrived for a visit yesterday by notafurry (4.00 / 2) #3 Fri Jun 05, 2009 at 02:02:59 PM EST
It's been about 8 months since he saw them last. We were walking over to where my wife and our kids were, and he didn't recognize them - our son was mobile but not walking last time, and while our daughter was walking, she was still very much a toddler. Now, the son was running around the area playing with rocks and sticks (that's my boy!) and my daughter has crossed the difficult-to-define boundary between "toddler" and "little girl".

Seeing it through his eyes kinda made it hit home how fast they're growing.

Shut up, I just have something in my eye.

Everyone drives like their ass is on fire and the police don't give a shit.  Stop though...
