wouldn't a nice friendly IRS man be able to help you along there, or at least an anonymous tip about tax cheats ?

Her name is Penny Lancaster. She's one of those people who is so anti-porn she has to have her own set of repressed kinks.

with safe search off would not have led me to believe that.

to read some columnist or other describe the Meese Commission Report on Pornography as being so pornographic that she had to get herself off about five times while reading it.

Also, I'm pretty sure that their conclusion by wumpus (2.00 / 0) #14 Sat Feb 24, 2007 at 03:51:01 PM EST
that pornography was dangerous couldn't be from any facts gained from their "research", but could only be lead from the fact that the crooks on the commission were about to get caught. The commission was named after Meese (vindication through lack of an indictment) since they reported to him, but run by a group lead by Charles Keating (and including at least one corrupt Bishop as well).

How about a very high tax rate, declining manufacturing base, a culture of poverty and violence in the city, a concentration of poverty in the city, a lack of well paying jobs for the high school educated, needless duplication of services, poor mass transit,

Those require doing things which might piss off large numbers of registered voters, while screaming about PORN IN THE LIBRARIES only pisses off the people who would never vote for her anyway.

which are not quantifiable, are malleable and avoid the scrutiny of actually campaigning on policy and a budget to implement that policy. Assholes.

Toronto for a fun big city weekend, though we sat in enough traffic this summer to make 8 hours on the QEW seem reasonable.

for many years. You'd be surprised at the weird stuff that goes on.

If you take away the internet (porn) - what the hell are the stinky homeless guys gonna do all day?

Providing internet access to the public is important (I've been in tight spots where my only internet access was the library). But I've had the misfortune of sitting next to hard-breathing and excited creeps who were getting off on internet porn. I found it extremely disturbing.

Maybe our libraries should provide private internet viewing rooms with lotion and tissues?

The only people to get even with are those that have helped you.
