I've actually been keeping my eyes out for dried morels, but I haven't seen any in our regular grocery stores.

Fois gras is a "humanitarian" concern.
The caviar ban is because Beluga Sturgeon is a threatened species.
But reading that, it's not illegal to have it, it's illegal to import it from the Caspian Sea. If you have sturgeon you imported before 2005, you can harvest caviar from them. But all of those permits expire in April 2007, so there won't be any after that, though existing stocks may be sold within your won state. (Yeesh! Two year old fish eggs?!?!?!)
