What the fuck is with you Brits and peas? by BadDoggie (2.00 / 0) #1 Sun Jun 25, 2006 at 09:40:01 PM EST
Peas and lamb do not go together. Is there anything you lot don't serve peas with?

Most of our veg scrap is saved for making soup stocks.

Also: lamb requires rosemary. PLZFIXKTHXBYE!

woof.

What goes with Lamb?

Mint.

I rest my case.

The french think mint sauce is hilarious.
Personally, I think the greeks have got lamb right - garlic, oregano, lemon juice and olive oil. Yum.

Lots of people have lamb right. by ambrosen (4.00 / 1) #12 Mon Jun 26, 2006 at 03:50:06 AM EST
This is because it is the most delicious food evar!

We roast it better than the Greeks, but they do it better barbecued, obviously. Except half the time they use the fattiest pork instead, for no apparent reason.

Mint with peas?! by BadDoggie (2.00 / 0) #8 Mon Jun 26, 2006 at 12:35:48 AM EST
Butter, some salt, but not mint. Ugh.

Mint with lamb is very nice, but the lamb still needs some rosemary (unless cooked Belgian-style in a tomato-based sauce, as BG and I proved last night).

Since they've undergone extensive training since childhood to eat peas by balancing them on the back of a fork, they need to eat them frequently to maintain this skill.

All that singing about god's lamb and going with the peas of the lord. It explains a lot really, when you think about it :)

Actually looks remarkably healthy. I'm particularly impressed with the freshly-shelled peas; I remember the taste of real peas from when my folks used to grow them. Quite a lot nicer than the frozen variety.

Looks like my DVD remote, and now you mention it, the black one looks like my old freeview box remote.

However, most remotes look alike.
