I had a sweet Ed Hulver dream last night by debacle (4.00 / 1) #2 Wed Apr 19, 2006 at 01:39:02 PM EST
But I lost it when I woke up this morning.

Something about a broom closet and leftover Chinese food.

Fuck.

That reminds me of... by iGrrrl (2.00 / 0) #23 Thu Apr 20, 2006 at 08:28:11 AM EST
...the scene that will someday appear in a story I write about the sweet lady who delivered a roast chicken dinner to us after my mother died, and since we were not there for some reason, put it in the broom closet outside the door to my folks' condo.

Maybe it was more odd at the time it happened.

no, it's still pretty odd by Kellnerin (4.00 / 1) #33 Thu Apr 20, 2006 at 09:11:33 AM EST
Were you not (like the Spanish Inquisition), expecting a roast chicken dinner?

It's on Stuart Street, just past the Starbucks, I believe, when you're coming from Washington Street.

It must be where that weird potatoe pizza place was, next to the microbrewery.

I go by there all the time and never look at it.

but yes, it's by the microbrewery. And the food there is really excellent, from the buffet or off the menu. Also, mmmm, mango lhassi.

toxicfur is so right ... by Kellnerin (4.00 / 1) #22 Thu Apr 20, 2006 at 08:19:35 AM EST
I had to venture to Quincy Market, and brave the hordes of grazing tourists, to procure a mango lassi (oh, and lunch, I guess).

On the plus side, on the way out, I got to hear the busker try to impress a crowd with whatever he was about to do with his "verydangerous! Razor-sharp! Juggling! Balls!"

MJ has a pediatrician appointment at 13:30 out in the 'burbs that day.

Foo.

OTOH, they worked us in in miracle fashion, given that when I first called (after $evil_project finished) they said they were booking in June.  When I told them I hadn't called earlier because I was busy accruing 216.25 hours of comp time, they created space for us.
