An 'I agree' paper isn't necessarily short by lm (2.00 / 0) #1 Sun Mar 12, 2006 at 06:19:13 PM EST
If you can think of one or two good objections that someone might make that Hume didn't deal with and handle them from a Humean perspective, that might make a good paper.

Or better yet, use Hume's attack on causality to defeat his argument concerning miracles.

my last couple papers have essentially agreed, too, and they were fine. but this one wouldn't be such. well, it might.

attacking the miracles on the grounds of his causality thing isn't very fun, i thought of it, but didn't really like it.

We used to joke that it didn't matter if you went to Heaven or Hell when you died, you'd have to change planes in Atlanta.

And are you sure you've "thrown away" anythign.  Is the person in question leaving for Outer Mongolia tomorrow?

It's just a song I've heard a lot of recently. It's damn catchy, but doesn't have a thing to do with me. She's not the 'love of my dreams', I did not 'throw her out', she's just extraordinarily hip and was going somewhere other than where I was. I don't know about outer mongolia, but she is considering visiting a convent for a year, and God only knows what that could turn into.
