Apologies for the brevity of the last comment by stark (4.00 / 1) #3 Fri Mar 10, 2006 at 10:09:09 AM EST
My only excuse is that I was writing via a mobile phone on my way home from work. I'm quite surprised it managed to actually post successfully.

Also, apologies for replying to my own post, but I thought my rudeness required a response.

Finally, apologies for the content of my previous post. I evidently wasn't clear enough in my diary and it was rather a specialised poll, anyway.

I would also like to apologise for the disgraceful conduct of my people in the war.

Kind of sick of those ads by jump the ladder (4.00 / 1) #4 Fri Mar 10, 2006 at 02:40:04 PM EST
Even worse are the ones giving examples of really terrific ideas that Barclays people come up with like talking to the customers, duh.

The same theme continues once you're in the new building. On the plastic coffee cups, "i'm a Barclays person and I'm no mug". Grr... Probably the most annoying campaign I've ever seen by bank.

Bleurgh. Corporate propaganda really shouldn't ever be that unsubtle.

I think they should go for something with a bit more bite - perhaps, "Barclays people are good lovers because they're used to fucking over the customers"
