So they're doing the right thing for me, but for the wrong reason ....

As far as 'too much salt' goes, how much does that matter exactly if you're about to eat a chippy?

A misconception about the public's ability to apply an appropriate amount of salt to their chips.

I think we need a programme of education, and local 'community salt wardens' to empower us to implement a healthy salt/chip solution.

Oh yes, and fixed-penalty on-the-spot fines for anyone who has "too much"* salt on their chips.

*(Amount to be decided by panel of govt-appointed "experts").
