but do you think the shed behind your house is a good place to try and hide out in for a few days when the eventual megaton explosion occurs?

I had the same thought. Might need some lead shielding in the walls, but it was built pretty stout.
Dad looked like he was barely able to hold it together today. I felt really bad for him, though I don't know that there's much more I can do than offer him a place to stay when the inevitable happens, and I've already done that.
