About three years ago we had a white Easter at my mom's house in New Mexico. Very surreal to have easter with snow on the ground.

snow on Mother's Day is unusual, snow on Easter is common.

Snow at easter in the UK is quite rare, last time it happened was '98 (10 years ago), though that said, 10 years between snowy easters is the longest period since the 50s, so I guess what I should be surprised by is not snow at easter, but how long its been without snow at easter...
