Do you go to the copyto directory and type "mv <path> ." or do you go to the copyfrom directory and type "mv * <path>?"

That way I don't have to go somewhere, perform a move and then come back. I just get what I want from where it was and immediately go to work on it. For example, which is more efficient?

$cp home/debacle.profile .
$vi .profile

$cd home/debacle
$cp .profile home/greyrat.
$cd ~
$vi .profile

Even if you take out the 'cd ~' from the second example (which has certain implications) you come out behind the first example.
