It's probably due to the amount of traffic by aethucyn (4.00 / 1) #2 Tue Mar 27, 2007 at 09:37:19 PM EST
but I haven't experienced any great subway stories of late. Though it is also the extent to which riding the subway is work connected rather than pleasure related trips.

One evening out of sheer randomness, I made a playlist of writing related songs (or at least titles). Read, write, words, books. Some are admittedly more appropriate than others.

As a waiter, I was never a big one for commenting on drink choices unless I felt they were particularly good, unusual, and possibly out of the range of normal experience for the diner. Part of my program of saving enthusiasm for when it's warranted.

Finally, the poll reminded me of this episode of the Pinky Suthers Show. My personal favorite.

I wouldn't call that a great subway story; it's probably the kind of thing I'd write down and then wonder why I'd thought it worth noting, except that the process of the writing sort of went awry.

My ex-roommate A once made a mix tape (that's the era I'm talking about) with a book-related theme. She used to proofread to it. You already know, I'm sure, my own philosophy on soundtracks to write to, and this is one area where my love for the self-referential fails.

I was probably unclear, but April was commenting on our food order. Our drinks were boring; the dishes, if I recall, were both specials. We enjoyed them both, but the chances that we'd happened to pick her two favorite dishes (which, to be fair, she didn't claim) off the menu seemed so slim as to make me doubt her enthusiasm.

I should have made "I don't like love" one of the poll choices. Thanks for that link.
