When I look at McCain's new gambit for irrelevance, I have two thoughts:

Even I am more in touch with the American people than this joker.
Or maybe not. Maybe he knows the sad truth: that we Americans really are a bunch of desperately savage, hopelessly ignorant, irredeemable rednecks.

Which, come to think of it, might explain our obsession with Britney. And her plan to revive past glory.
