We were making stir fry the other night, and just after I added the sesame oil to the sauce, I saw all the multiple sizes of oil droplets floating on the surface. So I took like 5 shots with various angles, lighting conditions, and flash. The non-flash ones were trailed, since I can't hold still for a quarter second or whatever. So you get this one. I rather like the something-like-fractal distribution of droplet sizes, and the packing problem they solved spontaneously.
The camera is a Canon Eos Rebel digital model, with the stock zoom lens zoomed in.
Processing: cropped using the unix program xv. I played with the colors some using gamma corrections, and decided I liked the original better. I downsized it a factor of two and let the jpg quality thing degrade it to fit in the file size quota.
