was freaking amazing on my connection from home.  It took ten seconds to download.

Gutsy broke my feisty install.  Thankfully it only takes a minute to restore it to feisty.

working title "Ubuntu: I hate your guts(y)"

By selectively removing a few packages (evms, xserver-xgl) I got a working desktop again.  But it's by far the worst ubuntu upgrade I've ever seen.

restoring feisty.  Maybe they'll get the xserver stuff sorted out.  If you use an Intel integrated graphics controller, you're used to this sort of thing.
