Steel thermoses are cool things to give & recieve around weddings. They last a lifetime, and the hope is that the marriage will, too. In the case of groomsman gifts, they're official witnesses, so you're inviting them to use their steel thermoses to do you harm if you break up before they wear out. Or something like that.
