I'm seriously considering trying although making another pointless hole worries me.  The access is sealed via some popcorn ceiling texture and I half anticipate the portal being covered by insulation, but I might try it anyway.

I’m giving my self a 20% chance of falling into my neighbor’s bathroom or my own bathroom when doing this.
